Analyst Sr, FinancialJob ID2023-3238CategoryAccounting & FinanceJob LocationsUS-IL-NilesWorkplace ArrangementHybridOverviewIf you have an accounting background and looking to become a Financial Analyst, Shure is hiring!This newly created Senior Financial Analyst role is responsible for providing enhanced financial modeling and forecasting for legal entity Income Statements, as well as overseeing Balance Sheet and Cash Flow modeling, and uniform treatment of expense handling.
In this role you will facilitate collaboration between Accounting and Finance during key periods of the month to allow for greater visibility to timelines and deadlines.
ResponsibilitiesLeads the review, tracking, and maintenance of information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and other accounting regulations.
Prepare and reviews journal entries and other related trend or variance analysis including balance sheet accounts, income statement verifications, and foreign subsidiary results for month-end close.
Support legal entity forecasting and planning activities by understanding relationships between entities, one-time expenses impacting results, and future expenses to be factored into the forecast.
Assist in preparing monthly projections for Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
Assist in creation of policy on account and cost center usage to ensure expenses are appropriate per account and cost center.
Provide support in enhanced reporting on ION spending related to corporate projects.
Assist in process improvements in planning, reporting, forecasting, and analysis to drive efficiencies, improve data integrity and derive insights to support business leadership decision-making.
Support special projects as requested by leadership to support the global finance strategy initiatives.
Researches technical standards and practices for proper accounting treatment of new or revised processes, business changes, and/or FASB updates.
Supports global process improvements, financial systems initiatives and innovations in analysis and forecastingPerforms other duties as assigned.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience using skills as a seasoned, experienced professional in the application of US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Strong experience in P&L management, and Cash Flow forecasting along with knowledge of financial systems.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize and effectively convey findings to management and team members.
High level of detail orientation and organization, as well as ability to multi-task and handle multiple concurrent projects.
Proven ability to self-motivate in a fast-paced environment, ability to deal with ambiguity, change and a dynamic business environment.
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions for difficult assignments and of diverse scope.
Proven Analytical skillsProficiency with popular Windows-based computer programs; SAP GL experience strongly preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
