This position reports to the President and will work closely with the General Manager and is responsible for all accounting and financial activities. Accounting and control: maintaining financial records, controlling financial activities; tax matters, inventories, fixed assets, and identifying efficient performance;
Responsibilities
Prepare/Review/Analyze Monthly Financial Statements
Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
Analyze and project all aspects of the companies financial performance and trends to evaluate possible drawbacks or opportunities.
Manage the cost functions, inventory and interpret monthly variances for plant efficiency.
Various reporting, 401(k), 5500, commissions, customer rebates, financials for bank and insurance needs.
Review and analyze contracts.
Prepare 1099s at year end.
Maintain and setup General Ledger Accounts.
Streamline processes and procedures
Assure timely collection of monies due to company
Develop and manage the budget. Continually track and monitor the budgets and work with department managers for successful outcome.
Special Projects as assigned.
Knowledge/Education/Experience
Masters Degree-Accounting or Finance preferred.
Strong cost accounting / financial analysis experience a must
7-10 years experience in managing or supervising an Accounting Department.
Skills
Good Written and verbal communication.
Good cost accounting skills
Proficient in MS Office, Visual is a plus
Coaching and training.
Abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and stay focused.
Analyze situations and recommend/take appropriate action.
Ability to organize, prioritize and provide a high degree of accuracy in reporting and communicating financial information.
